Well it's seven years later.

I feel like the last seven years was a massive waste of time when it comes to avenging 9/11. Osama bin Laden is still running around just east of where he was 7 years ago in Pakistan and we're committed to security missions in Iraq.

Looking around it seems our economy has been in stasis like Ground Zero. Our financial sector has never been quite the same since that day. The Freedom Tower remains on the drawing board. The pluck...the we can do anything spirit has never returned since that day.

You know if in the early 1990s you said to me, "A smirking chimp will take control, deregulate, destroy, bankrupt the country." I would have laughed. "Impossible!"

9/11 lengthened the Bush nightmare we live under. Nightmares like wiretapped phones, gulags in Cuba, torture of POWs and the general screwing up of every government institution that ensure citizen safety and well being.

I hate this day. I hate this day because the cretins won.

Is this really the same guy that authors those comments on the St. Louis CL Rant and Rave? If so - I suggest spending more time publishing original content for your own blog. Your post for the anniversary for 9/11 could have been written by an 8th grader.
