RAVE: we had our 16 week baby apt yesterday and everything is still perfect. I was worried that my appetite has been waning but somehow I managed to pack on 8 pounds last month so there's nothing to be worried about. I've gained 20 pounds total already- and I am not even bothered by it:)

Rant: its going to take FOREVER for my bathroom remodel to be finished. These dudes have been showing up every week morning since Dec 2nd and are just now laying the tile down. They told me this morning they cant get the wall marble til Dec 29th. Ugh. I miss my nightly bubblebaths!

Oh man, I know what you're going through on the bathroom remodel.

A year ago I had mine redone too. These guys did everything, then couldn't fit the tub/shower in. Then wanted to get one of those crap 3 piece shower/tubs in, because of their fuck up. Then wanted me to pay the difference.

I rented a condo for 2 weeks, so I didn't have to live in the mess while they were working.

What a pain in the ass.

I hate to ask, but how much is it costing S. City?

I hate to ask as well, I am not paying for it. Mommy dearest is:) Actually its an open-ended loan that I will pay back if and when I ever sell the house.

Can I switch topics?

I have 4 holiday parties to go and need to bring a dish to each. As you might have guessed, cooking is NOT my forte. Anyone have any ideas on simple dishes that dont have to stay hot (all but 3 parties are at least a half hour drive)

I am starting to panic about this cooking business.

How about some big cheese balls or home made french onion dip?

Sweet, cheeseballs! I am going to try to make the Holiday Cheese ball. It sounds just like a cheese ball this secretary here makes that drives me wild- i've been too shy to ask her for the recipe. So thanks!

Some may feel squeamish about eating it, but rabbit has a fan base that grows as cooks discover how easy they are to raise — and how good the meat tastes.
